The Wonder Chamber

Red Dot Baroque welcomes internationally-acclaimed harpsichordist Olivier Fortin, making his Singapore debut as guest director in this intimate chamber programme of rarely-heard Baroque masterpieces, many of which would be Singapore premieres.

The “Wonder Chamber” (or “Wunderkammer”) are rooms in private homes of 17th-century Europe filled with curious objects, inventions and musical instruments that inspired innovation, wonder and awe. Baroque composers often took inspiration from the artefacts around them, developing fresh musical styles that championed new and experimental ways of expression.

Join us in this journey of discoveries through a musical Wonder Chamber, set in the historic Arts House Chamber in Singapore!
